Graduate Psychologist (Freelance)

Independence Homes Ltd, a specialist care provider for adults with epilepsy, learning difficulties and associated specialist needs, based in the heart of the community, is looking for a Psychologist to provide solution based behavioural programmes.  

You will work closely with our medical team and therapy coordinator, with regards to service users funded to receive Psychology as part of their therapy programme. 

Your primary role is to support staff, in order to maximise their abilities when supporting service users to understand and manage their behavioural needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work on an ad hoc basis within a monthly budget, provided by the local authority and liaise with unit managers, submitting progress reports accordingly. 

You will be a psychologist graduate, or equivalent, with cognitive behavioural therapy experience as you will be expected to write and maintain functional cognitive behavioural programmes, together with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.  Some work experience within a similar environment would be advantageous.

Area Manager – Registered Unit
Location:  Purley Way, Croydon
Salary c. £35k + bonus
40 hours per week 

Job responsibilities

We are seeking an Area Manager, Registered Care, to be responsible for the delivery of service that meets and exceeds the regulatory and quality standards for our Registered Care Homes. At present we have 5 Registered Care Homes with c90 staff and c35 service users. We have an ambitious growth plan and anticipate opening new premises in other locations in the UK.

As Area Manager you will:

• Advise and support Registered Managers in their role including client care, staff management, finance and administration, quality assurance and home management.
• Represent IHL with external agencies
• Deliver internal training in relation to Registered Care standards as required.
• On occasions provide interim cover at unit level

Qualifications/experience required:

You should have suitable professional qualifications to support the role and to be able to demonstrate previous success at management level within a multi location environment. A thorough knowledge of the social or healthcare industry with a detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements is essential.

Job Location:  Wallington

Hours:   An average of 40 hours per week, working shifts 

Salary:  £8.29 - £8.90 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

Reporting to a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and co-ordinating the efforts of your staff team so that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently within the service users’ home.
