Care and support for people with epilepsy

Residential services for people with Epilepsy &
moderate to severe Learning Disabilities

People with severe epilepsy and severe learning disabilities may well have other medical problems to deal with too. They still have a right to live a full and productive life. This may require a great deal of support. Inevitably support is expensive.

Our service users deserve the best. Thus we feel it’s important to secure the appropriate level of funding from the relevant social services department or primary care trust.

Our staff have expertise in supporting people with even the most severe forms of epilepsy. New staff are given exhaustive training to ensure that they have the confidence and knowledge to provide the best possible standard of care.

All our residential care homes are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and are equipped with the relevant equipment needed to help people with everyday activities like bathing. Inside each of our residential care homes we’ve invested considerable sums of money to ensure that accommodation is state of the art.

Alarm systems help us to recognise seizures at night time, and each service user has an individual protocol for the management and treatment of each of their seizure types.
